History
This tank car, and its sisters 36025 and
36674 had all been built by the Union Tank Car Company.
The tank car company had declared these cars surplus, and rather than pay the costs to ship them back
to one of their plants, donated them to the Salem & Hillsborough Railroad.
This car is currently painted black with the words "RAILROAD MUSEUM" painted in yellow. It is parked near Highway 114
as a billboard.
