History
This tank car, and its sisters 36377 and
36674 had all been built by the Union Tank Car Company.
The tank car company had declared these cars surplus, and rather than pay the costs to ship them back
to one of their plants, donated them to the Salem & Hillsborough Railroad.
This car is currently painted black. The words "UNION TANK CAR UTLX 36025" can barely be made it through the paint.
In 2001 it was part of our Fire Train display.
