History
This mainline passenger coach was built for Canadian National in December 1937 as CN 5229
by Canadian Car & Foundry, and was used throughout Canada. The coach, which seats 64 people, was sold to
VIA Rail in 1978 and retired from service in December 1983. In 1984 the S & H purchased it and renumbered it 6329
"CASCADE". It has since been renumbered back to 5229.
