History
This car was built for CN by Canadian Car & Foundry, as part of lot 677, in 1927 as Observation
Car 1079 "FORT GEORGE". It was first converted to a Bedroom Buffet Lounge car, and became Club Lounge car
2314 "ELAN" in May 1964. It is identical to number 1000 and was delivered to Hillsborough in 1986. It is
numbered S & H 1002 "MOUNTAIN VIEW".
CN designated it class DL-78-B. It is 25.6m (84' 1") long and weighs 80.6 tonnes (88.9 tons).
