History
This car was built for CN by Canadian Car & Foundry, as part of lot 667, in 1927 as Observation
Car 1077 "FORT FRANCIS". It was renamed to "FORT PRINCE OF WALES" in July 1941. In September 1949 it was
converted to a Bedroom Buffet Lounge car, and to Club Lounge car 2313 "BONHEUR" in May 1964. In 1985 it
became S & H 1000, "VALLEY VIEW".
CN designated it class DL-78-B. It is 25.6m (84' 1") long and weighs 80 tonnes (88 tons).
